If all the afghan and iraq war spendings were spent for good causes, what could've been achieved?
- If government spending could achieve good things, in the 1000's of years of the history of government, it would have been achieved by now. And the poorest regions of the world are poor because of the corrupt/oppressive governments that rule over them. It has nothing to do with spending money.
- Millions of people could have been fed, medicated and housed. Hospitals and schools could have been built.
- The first invasion of Afghanistan in 2001 cost $8 billion alone. That would've been enough to erradicate hunger in the whole continent of Africa.
- I have never understood the term "Good causes!". One man's good cause is another's...... etc etc.
Just Iraq..
